Ashley Bratt
Hot Vinyasa | Strong + Slow
Ashley began her yoga practice when a friend invited her to try a hot yoga class in 2012. Soon afterward Ashley fell in love with the physical, emotional, and mental benefits that yoga brought her. Ashley cites that she loves the strength of body and clarity of mind that yoga provides, and finds that her most challenging opportunities in class come when maintaining breath throughout sustained difficult postures. Ashley became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) in January of 2016 through Power Yoga Academy in Bellingham. Her flows are typically varied from week to week and often focus on one or two main areas of the body or a theme relevant and helpful to students in class. Ashley would like to teach the importance of connecting body movement to breath as a moving meditation, and open the potential for each student to discover something they never before thought possible within their own bodies. When she's not teaching yoga, Ashley also works as a behavior analyst with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum and other behavioral, developmental, and neurological disorders. This work has provided her the opportunity to combine those two passions: working with children and yoga. Ashley began teaching child and adolescent yoga classes in 2019. Through children's yoga classes, she hopes to instill lifelong tools such as mindfulness and emotional intelligence (all while having fun) that she knows will empower each child across every aspect of life.
When not teaching or practicing yoga, Ashley also enjoys camping, traveling, cooking and exploring with her husband, three children, and two dogs.
